## Measured numbers (rbm21 CPU, harnesses in repo)

- Route API: p50 60–150ms (idle scratch → loaded production box,
  `bench/route_latency.py`)
- Decode: ~470 tok/s p50 on the 7M int8 trunk (`bench/gen_speed.py`)
- 5 lanes installed: +1.4MB RSS, ~0 added latency (`bench/` scaling run)
- Abstention: banking77 84.4% ID-OOS recall, clinc150 abstains 20.4%
  (certified lanes, metrics in pack manifests)
- Decision contract: `set_size`/`qhat` (conformal), `candidates[]`
  (clarification shortlist on abstain), `margin` (top1−top2 gap) — see
  openapi.yaml RouteDecision
- Release verification: `tools/verify_appliance.py` checks every manifest
  sha256 on a tarball or extracted tree; releases ship `*.tar.gz.sha256`
